Master of Arts (MA) in Counselling Psychology
Registered Clinical Counsellor
Tracy is a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) and has a Master of Arts in Psychotherapy and Spirituality, from St. Stephen’s College. This educational program integrates both psychology and spirituality, and is broadly inclusive of all perspectives and traditions. As a result, Tracy has been able to weave together a deep respect for the varied ways that spirituality influences and impacts our lives, as well as develop fluency in all manner of religious tradition and how that can intersect with life.
Tracy profoundly values collaboration, transparency, and compassion in all aspects of life. She believes counselling is as an opportunity to creatively explore, gain insight, and access inner strengths to make concrete change. Honouring diversity and difference is central to her practice, and Tracy seeks to bring comfort to the healthy discomfort that comes with being willing to explore life’s challenges.
With a counselling approach that is centred around clients’ unique needs and values, Tracy focuses early work on getting to know who her clients are and what is important to them. Tracy takes an integrative approach to counselling by utilizing the wisdom of several different theoretical perspectives. These include narrative and solution-focused theory, as well as psychodynamic and expressive art therapies. Some of the challenges that Tracy is experienced at include anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship difficulties, intercultural conflict and relationships, career satisfaction, identity exploration, sexuality issues, spirituality, and unblocking creativity.
Tracy brings diverse experiences and interests to her counselling practice. She is an artist and passionate about the potential of creativity to support healing and growth. Tracy is also passionate about community building and dialogue, and continues to work with organizations to create more inclusive communities.
